PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by the poet on front free endpaper (natural offset from tan wrappers on part of inscription): "To Efrem Zimbalist from Edna St. Vincent Millay." The first (trade) edition of The Ballad of the Harp-Weaver consisted of 500 copies on regular paper; all but 75 of these were bound in orange wrappers identical to the red wrappers here; for window display purposes in his Greenwich Village shop Shay had the 75 copies bound (15 each) in five different colored wrappers: red, dark green, apple green, yellow, and blue.
