Miniature Torah scroll Manuscript scroll (Height of parchment: 3 1/4 in.; 83mm:: Height of text: 2 1/2 in.; 64 mm). Written in ink on ultra-fine parchment, in an Ashkenazic "Ari Zal" (Nusach S'fard) script (generally used by those following Hasidic tradition in Poland, Galicia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia etc.) Circa late 18th century; 42 lines; 329 columns on 62 membranes, sewn with gidin. Some light browning and foxing. Mounted on turned metal rollers, housed in a later black velvet bag embroidered with floral motifs and an image of the Western Wall; accompanied by an earlier woven cotton mantle decorated with a silk Star of David.
