Collation: A 8 a-s 8 t 2 A-D 8 E 4 aa-hh 8 ii 6 kk 8. 263 leaves (of 268, lacking A1.8, s5, ?s7, aa7). Printed in red and black. 40 lines and headline, double column. Two column-width woodcuts, printed musical notation on staves, woodcut lombard initials, a few initial spaces with guide-letter, occasionally filled in blue. (Canon table leaves lightly soiled and with marginal repairs, marginal repairs in 3 other leaves.) Contemporary French panelled calf over wooden boards tooled in blind with double-headed eagle [possibly Gid an2], two fleur-de-lis, and cinquefoil (rebacked and repaired in brown morocco, without two fore-edge clasps). SECOND EDITION. RARE: Weale lists only 3 copies, all imperfect, at Arras, Brussels, and Paris. Moreau-Renouard I, 96; Weale-Bohatta 227. Pontificale Romanum ad omnes Pontificias ceremonias . Venice: Giunta, 1572. 2° (359 x 253mm). Printed in red and black. One full-page woodcut and 160 smaller woodcuts, printer's device on title, woodcut ornamental initials.
