Moulton-Barrett, Octavius. An album of over 200 amateur watercolours and drawings, the majority of humorous scenes or family members, often captioned, on scraps of paper, mounted, 4to, .c1860; a manuscript notebook attributed to Elisabeth Georgina Barrett (1833-1918), the free-endpaper inscribed 'Elisabeth Barrett August 16th, 1851 Hackney', with scholarly notes on poetry, 72pp.+, contemporary half calf, rubbed; and a notebook of poetry quotations in various hands, c.1827 (3) Octavius Moulton-Barrett (12 April 1824-11 Nov 1910) was Elizabeth Barrett Browning's youngest brother. He was a keen artist and studied under Sir Charles Barry Upon his death, a portfolio of drawings he executed during the construction of the Houses of Parliament was gifted to the nation by his family.
