The first part is concerned with practical geometry, ballistics and surveying. The second part deals with horology and is one of the most extensive treatises on the subject to that time. It is an augmented and definitive version of Muenster's earlier works on the subject, with new illustrations, some of which have been attributed to Hans Holbein the younger.
