This machine gun started as an AKS semi-auto, manufactured at Min Shan Factory in China, was imported by Clay Co Sports and converted to a machine gun on an ATF Form 1. It features a distinctive vertical wooden foregrip and has an added notch in the right side of the receiver for full-auto fire. Original “SEMI” marking on left side of receiver, partially obliterated upon conversion. Upper handguard numbered on left side, “39808”. No magazine present. Electronic Registry indicates: “FORM 1 REGISTRATION” Incoming ATF Form 4 indicates Min Shan Factory, China”. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with very slight loss of finish and the edge of the receiver where action cover meets as well as contact points for swing-out shoulder stock. Wood and composite furnishings near excellent. Chrome lined bore near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun.
