Illustrations of Her Majesty's Palace at Brighton; Formerly the Pavilion: executed by the command of King George the Fourth, under the superintendence of John Nash .. to which is Prefixed a History of the Palace, By... Brayley. London: J.B. Nichols & Son, sold also by R. Loder and James Taylor of Brighton, '1838'. Folio (535 x 365 mm.) Wood-engraved title vignette, 30 (of 31) plates and plans after A. Pugin and others (some aquatint, some printed in colours, some hand-coloured, some line etchings, some on India paper mounted, some cut-down and mounted [as issued]) (Bound without one of the two images of the Chinese Gallery, plates number XIV or XV; some soiling and browning). Original green cloth (worn, spine lacking, covers detached). Provenance: Worthing Public Library (bookplate, ink stamps on verso of title).
