MARK OF PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, "91" STANDARD, MOSCOW, 1876
NAVAL INTEREST:- A 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER & CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL PRESENTATION CIGARETTE CASE, MARK OF PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, "91" STANDARD, MOSCOW, 1876, The cover applied with two fouled anchors linked by rope to a buoy, flanking a central cartouche enamelled in blue & red with Cyrillic name of recipient, "S.M.Kumani" , within a green-enamelled laurel wreath & surmounted by a coronet, two Imperial Russian Naval ensigns above & in each corner applied discs with dates "1871" & "1876" & Cyrillic inscriptions in blue enamel bordered in red, the sides with lozenge motifs in red, dark blue, pale blue & green, the reverse plain, deep gilt interior, 4¼ in. long (11 cm.).
