(12mo) 15x9.5 cm (6x3½"), original blue printed wrappers. First Edition. Important paper on the 1835 return of Halley's Comet, by a prominent celestial mechanician, who also wrote on lunar theory. Quite rare - OCLC/WorldCat lists only five copies in institutional libraries. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wrapper wear, chips at corners and spine ends; light foxing within, small stain to lower margin of earlier leaves; very good. Item number: 287918
