An extremely rare stainless steel automatic calendar bracelet watchModel: Seamaster Reference: ST 166.093 Date: Circa 1975 Movement: Jewelled automatic Dial: Dark Blue, luminous baton hour markers, white outer minute divisions, date aperture at 3, large orange luminous filled sword hour hand and white luminous filled pointed baton minute hand, white cubist centre second hand with luminous filled tip Case: Brushed domed tonneau form, movement accessed through glass, shouldered screw down crown Strap/Bracelet: Fitted divers beads of rice Buckle/Clasp: Signed folding clasp, stamped 1247/237 Signed: Case, dial & movement Size: 44mm FootnotesIn 1971 Omega launched the reference ST 166.093. Water resistant up to 1000 meters, the model was the most water resistant watch ever made by Omega. The ST 166.093 was made in very limited numbers. Reportedly, Prince Rainier III of Monaco commissioned Omega to produce 50 watches to give as gifts to friends of the Monaco Oceanographic Research Institute and Museum, with Jacques Cousteau receiving the first. A further 100 watches were made available to the public.
