part 1 only (of 2), engraved additional pictorial title and numerous full-page emblems, lacking D2, Q4 repaired tear with considerable loss to emblem verso, lightly browned and foxed, heavier in places, contemporary calf, worn, but holding firm, [Landwehr, Romanic, 145; Praz p.267], Paris, Jean Baptiste Loyson, 1659 § Berthod (François) Emblesmes Sacrez, engraved additional title and full-page emblems, lacking several ff., ink stamp to foot of title, lightly browned, occasional marginal staining, contemporary calf, richly gilt spine in compartments and with red morocco label, [Landwehr, Romanic, 153; cf. Praz p.270], Paris, Estienne Loyson, 1699; and 3 others, including a defective copy of Chesneau's Orpheus Eucharisticus sive Deus absconditus, 1657 and part 5 of a 1728 La Fontaine, both illustrated with numerous emblems, 8vo (5) sold not subject to return.
