Photos include shots of Thompson and his wife Maria, with images showing location shots in China, the Philippines, Thailand, Borneo and Japan, many while filming "Dope" in 1927/1928, a film about the Chinese opium trade. Other notable shots include Maria in prison garb in the notorious Bilibid Prison in Manila, scenes of the second Sino-Japanese War, and Thompson waiting to be received by Mahatma Gandhi.
