Pilot-Namiki "Emperor - Vermilion" early limited fountain pen. It is number #A-148, stamped on top of the gold clip. It measures 6.813" when capped, with the barrel diameter of 0.69". Plain and simple in design with a finish of Maki-e, the junction of parts is virtually invisible. It is an eyedropper-fill (large ink capacity) fountain pen. The pen is fitted with a large, 18k solid yellow gold nib with the number 50 engraved upon it, referencing the pen's original name: "No. 50 Jumbo." Mint in boxes with all papers and eyedropper.
