Pilot-Namiki Yukari 2001 "Nightline" fountain pen.This pen utilizes Urushi (black lacquer from the sap of the Urushi tree) as a base and raden seashells. Thin and diminutive panels of shell, interrupted by lines of black lacquer, have been randomly infused with gold dusting (Hira-Makie) and over-coated with Urushi lacquer, dried and polished to a high gloss with a powdered charcoal. This pen exudes vibrant purples, blues, and greens, with golden accents not seen in the current version, and is signed in kanji by its creator. It has a gold clip bearing the Namiki name and logo, and is outfitted with a solid 18k Namiki broad nib. Mint in boxes with all papers and Namiki ink.
