Account of A Voyage of Discovery to the West Coast of Corea, and the Great Loo-Choo Island; with an Appendix, containing charts, and various hydrographical and Scientific Notices... and a Vocabulary of the Loo-Choo Language by H.J. Clifford, 1st edition, 1818, eight fine hand-coloured aquatint plates after William Havell one uncoloured aquatint, one engraved plate, 5 engraved maps, including two folding, some offsetting from maps, a few light spots, all edges gilt, contemporary full calf, covers with gilt anthemion border roll, rebacked with original spine relaid, 4to Abbey Travel 558. Presentation copy, inscribed to front endpaper: "Viscountess Castlereagh, from the Author". Amelia Stewart, Viscountess Castlereagh (1772-1829) was the wife of Robert Stewart Lord Castlereagh, British Foreign Secretary from 1812. (1)
