Private collection: A group of three Chinese jade masks. Consisting of a mask with features carved in relief including drilled nasal holes, the stone of a yellowish green and russet tone, a mask with stylised features carved in relief including a pierced mouth section and drilled with a circular hole to the forehead and one to each ear lobe, the stone of a green and russet tone with a pitted surface to both sides, together with a mask carved with stylised features in relief and pierced with circular drilled holes to the eyes, nose, mouth and forehead, the stone of an olive green tone with russet inclusions throughout. 5.3 in (13.5 cm) width, 6.3 in (16 cm) height. 6.7 in (16.9 cm) width, 7.5 in (19.1 cm) height. 4.4 in (11.2 cm) width, 5.9 in (15 cm) height. Provenance: Formerly in the Alexander Taylor collection.
