Proof Bankruptcy The remarkable selection comprising 1849-61 embossed albino proof impressions of the £5, £10, £20 and £100 values with ink manuscript "Specimen" ; 1869 1d. to 15/- (8 values) hand-drawn pen and ink essays in black with red ink circles indicating the date slug positions, on white cards (various sizes), another essay for the 1d. in pink and Chinese white, also a printed essay in pink for the 2/6d. value (stamp sized); 1869 issue (with embossed head in centre) £1, £5 and £20 hand drawn pen and ink essays in black with red circles to indicate the date slug positions, another for the £1 in pink and Chinese white, on white cards (various sizes); 1881-84 plate proof blocks of four of the overprints in red (shilling values) and green (pound values); mostly very fine and fresh.
