A WWI Sopwith Scout propeller blade, laminated mahogany with sheathed tip, the green painted boss stamped DG 2360, D 2 50, P 2 40, HP 80 Le Rhone, Sopwith Scout, G 77 N16, 38687, additionally stamped 1225, 94, overall length 137.5cm The Sopwith Scout was a two-seater bi-plane first introduced in 1910, it went on the become an Anti-Zeppelin scout biplane designed and built for the Admiralty, nicknamed the Spinning Jenny due to its tendency to enter into a spin.
