Rare et important lot de trois grandes poupées pour le festival hinamatsuri exécutées par le célèbre artisan de Kyoto Oki Heizo. Toutes trois dans leur boite d'origine. D'après les inscriptions sur les boites, les poupées ont appartenu à la très influente famille Yamaguchi. Elles ont été offertes en Juin de l'année 43 de l'ère Meiji (1910) au fils ainé de la famille pour son premier festival des garçons (également appelé fête des drapeaux, tango no sekku). - Un grand cheval de parade noir (ouma) appareillé d'un harnais de couleur vive. Dans une boite avec l'étiquette d'origine d'Oki Heizo. H.: 59 cm, l.: 55 cm - Une poupée figurant un porteur de drapeau à genoux (onhatamochi). H.: 59 cm, l.: 52 cm - Une poupée représentant un général (Taisho) assis sur une chaise pliante. Entièrement vêtu d'une armure (yoroi), il porte un casque dont le maedate figure une tête de dragon. L'emblème familial (umebachi mon, fleur d'abricotier du Japon) sur l'armure de la poupée semble être celui de la famille Yamaguchi. Avec une boite sur laquelle figure les noms de donateurs et qui contient également des bannières verticales (nobori) figurant l'emblème aux fleurs d'abricotier, des rideaux (maku) de crêpe de soie blanche (chirimen) ainsi qu'un casque décoré de fleurs d'iris. Socle (x6). H.: 69 cm (sans le casque), l.: env. 52 cm An important and rare set of three large hinamatsuri dolls by the famous Kyoto doll-maker Oki Heizo, all three in original boxes. According to the inscriptions on the boxes the dolls were once in possession of the influential Yamaguchi family and were given in June Meiji 43 (1910) for his first Boy's Festival (also: Feast of Flags, tango no sekku and held in May) of the oldest son of the family. - A large black parade horse (ouma) fitted with a brightly colored harness in a box with original Oki Heizo label. - A doll of a kneeling flag-bearer (onhatamochi). - A doll of a general (taisho) sitting on a folding-chair and completely clad in armour (yoroi) and with a helmet with a dragon-head maedate. The plum-blossom crest (umebachi mon) on the armour of the doll seems to be the crest of the Yamaguchi-family. With a box with the names of the donators and which contains white silk crêpe (chirimen) hanging screen (maku) and vertical banners (nobori) depicting the plum-blossom crest and a helmet decorated with irises on a stand (6x)
