(Affordable Photographica | Live Online, 3rd December 2020) Rare Group of 1934 Movie Jector Paper Film Strips, inc Mickey Mouse. Rare Group of 1934 Movie Jector Paper Film Strips, inc Mickey Mouse. Rare Group of 1934 Movie Jector Paper Film Strips, inc Mickey Mouse. Found in a shop store room, these fragile paper strips were designed for use in a child's Movie Jector. Often mis-described as a stereo projector due to it having two lens, the Movie Jector lenses were one atop the other and therefore could not project in 3D. Careful inspection of each pair of images reveals that there are subtle differences between them and as the strips were wound through the projector, operating a lever on the side could be made to alternately blank off each projected image. Rapid switching between the two views gave the illusion of movement. With the exception of 'Treasure Island' and 'Mickey Mouse in The Fireman', all the strips are of the Cinderella story. Paper strips all seem intact, original boxes vary in condition from good to poor.
