Not surprisingly, the report on the celebration of New York's ratification praises Alexander Hamilton by name as one of the architects of the successful ratification by New York State. The article mentions toasts that were given after an eleven-gun salute to celebrate the event, including one toast to "The whole gradation of heroes and benefactors of mankind from the first of the human race to the immortal Washington–and all the sons of wisdom, from Solon to the invincible Hamilton." Condition: Some brittleness at edges, some separation at crease. Condition consistent with age of item.
