RECEIPT BOOK. Manuscript on paper, 'Koch Buch worin alles so zur Kuchenmeisterey gehörig zu finden', [early 18th Century], frontispiece drawing in bodycolour showing an elegant couple in a patterned border with a dedication verse (pasted in), the volume containing several hundred receipts chiefly in a single formal 18th-century hand on approximately 452 pages, 4to , with some later additions, paginated (some light spotting, a few worm holes in pp.1-252), 'Register' [index] at end on 15 leaves, including lists of the receipts by type (meat, cakes, vegetables etc). Contemporary vellum boards (lacking ties).
