Approximately 350 items in all, various sizes (from 75 x 125mm to 560 x 445mm). Provenance: Sotheby's, The Remaining Contents of the Studio of René Magritte: The Property of the late Georgette Berger, the widow of René Magritte, 2 July 1987, lot 965.
‘This is not an apple … ceci n’est pas un Magritte'. Magritte’s international network of artists, writers, dealers, friends, students and admirers write to him on a dazzling array of topics.
