Pen-and-ink and watercolor, yellow and gray wash borders with pen-and-ink outlines, evidence of an overslip, "Mr. Comeril's" pencilled at lower left. Penciled note on verso by Nigel Temple "In Corsham papers at Trowbridge RO is a letter addressed to Humphry Repton -- Commerill Esq Stroud [sic] near Horsham/sussex. John William Commerell had bought Strood Manor in 1801 and this would appear to be an original architectural design that Humphry Repton undertook for Commerell soon after his acquisition of the property. This view shows the front of the house, with several figures.
