Resuscitatio, or, Bringing into Publick Light Severall Pieces, of the Works, Civil, Historical, Philosophical, & Theological Author: Bacon, Francis Place Published: London Publisher: Printed by Sarah Griffin, for William Lee Date Published: 1657 Description: [26], 282, [4], 83, [3], 85-122, [2] ad. pp. Portrait frontispiece. (Folio) 27.5x18 cm (11x7"), period dark calf. Selected works by Francis Bacon. There are 20th century annotations throughout in colored inks in the hand of Charles Larkin, whose signature appears on the front pastedown. It appears Larkin was interested in the Baconian theory of Shakespearean authorship and was attempting to find cyphers and other clues in the text of Bacon's works; copies of other books by Bacon owned by Larkin have been seen with similar annotations.
