RHODE ISLAND] A run of Revolutionary period Rhode Island Acts of the General Assembly, 1770-1783 . [Providence, Newport, Attleboro, Rehoboth and elsewhere: various printers, 1770-1783]. Fourteen volumes. 20th century cloth. The run starting with: May 1770. At the General Assembly of the Governor and Company of the English colony of Rhode-Island, and Providence Plantations, in New-England, in America. Newport [R.I.] : Printed by Solomon Southwick, [1770]. With seal to first leaf and signature of Henry Ward to the final leaf. The run continuing in this fashion, generally four sessions to a year with varying imprints, through 1783, the title using state rather than colony of Rhode Island beginning in July 1776. Sizes vary, largest generally 12 x 7 1/4 inches (31 x 19 cm); pagination varies. Many clean but with intermittent repairs, various signatures, dampstains and foxing, loss of seals, tears and losses, stamps, etc. The 1776 and 1778 volumes with missing leaves provided in manuscript.
