RHODE ISLAND] Large group of colonial-era schedules, 1730-1772 , bound in 20th century cloth or worn half leather. This group commences with a bound volume of various laws from May 1730- February 1736; a bound volume of General Assembly acts February 1747-June 1748, these signed at end by secretary Thomas Ward; a long and generally consecutive run of bound volumes of General Assembly acts from 1750-1770, many with affixed seals or signatures of the secretary as above; and Acts and laws of the English colony of Rhode-Island ... made and passed since the revision in June, 1767. Newport: Solomon Southwick, 1772. Half-morocco. Variously stamped or signed, stains, various defects, the 1772 work lacking the final leaf and with several defective leaves, the lot sold as is.
