Third edition, double column, title printed above large woodcut of garden scene with distillery, inset of sick patient, group of doctors and other related activities, partial title border composed of several small cuts of plants, animals, fruits and minerals, approximately 250 text woodcuts of plants, animals, distilling apparatus, etc. A reprint of Egenolph's 1535 edition of Rösslin's compilation (see lot --), enlarged and with additional woodcuts, primarily of animals, not included in the 1533 edition. The title woodcut was used in later editions of Rösslin and copied in reverse for some of Egenolff's editions of Lonitzer. Like all of Egenolff's botanical publications, most of which were illustrated with woodcuts copied illicitly from Fuchs, Brunfels and other contemporary herbals, this edition is RARE.
