Lot of 2. Reagan, Ronald (1911-2004). President of the United States (1981-1989). TLS as President, 1p, The White House, Washington. July 9, 1981. Addressed to John O. Koehler, Assistant General Manager, World Services Division, Associated Press. Reagan thanks Koehler for the information he gathered in the captive nations, as he writes, particularly the resurgence of religion, which he thinks may be the Soviet's Achilles' heel. He also comments on criticism of his perceived lack of foreign policy so far in his term, but writes I just don't happen to think that it's wise to always stand up and put in quotation marks in front of the world what your foreign policy is. Bush, George H.W. (b. 1924). President of the United States (1989-1993). Signed campaign bumper sticker that reads George Bush/ For President, 15 x 3.5 in., signed upper right. Provenance:Letter purchased from Alexander Historical Auctions Condition: TLS: Two horizontal crease marks from the original folding of the letter. Signature slightly faded. Some discoloration of the paper from age. Bumper sticker: adhered to piece of paper, and folded vertically down the center.
