DOWNEY and [?]WILLIAM CURREY Autographed portrait of HRH Princess Alice and others, 1870s-90s Albumen print, 7 3/8 x 4 5/8 in., signed and dated Alice 1894 in ink on recto, mounted on card with photographers' printed credit in gold Russell & Sons 17 Baker Street, W. & 13 High Street Windsor Photographers to the Queen and annotation Osborne in ink on mount, in folded paper with blindstamp Osborne and From Princess Alice Osborne 30 July 1894 in ink; three cartes-de-visite with printed credit W. & D. Downey , one inscribed in ink on verso 21 January 1872 these three cartes were given to me at Osborne....- by the Queen in folded paper inscribed ....- the Emperor Napoleon Empress Eugenie & their son - In remembrance of my visit....on behalf of Q.M. on the day of the Emperor's death. 9 Jan. 73 ; and an albumen print 5¼ x 7¼ in., mounted on card, in modern window mount.
