Salvator Rosa (1615-1673) Diogenes casting away his Bowl (Bartsch 5; Wallace 103) etching, 1661-2, on laid paper, with an unidentified Double Circle watermark, second, final state, with wide margins, an 18 mm. tear in the margin lower right, another 15 mm. tear in the upper margin, remains of tape at the upper left and lower right sheet corners, a horizontal central crease, some foxmarks, areas of pinpoint foxing, handling creases in the margins, some other, minor defects, the subject generally in good condition; with Albert, Companion to St William , (Bartsch 2; Wallace 100) by the same hand, etching, on laid paper, an impression of the only state, with wide margins, a tear in the left margin, foxed P. 460 x 275 mm., S. 535 x 355 mm.
