Scarce study of the aboriginal peoples of ancient California by the 19th century Mexican historian, covering the practices, tradition, languages, land, art, etc.as related by missionaries. The title page is dates 1950, but OCLC/WorldCat list the date as 1953, and the final digit of the date on the limitation-page has been rubbed out. This copy not numbered. Only six copies located by OCLC. Two pages are blank, apparently a misprint, as noted in OCLC.
