Munich: Instituto lithographico Scholae festivalis, [1817-] 1819 [-1822]. 2 vols., large folio, 530 x 435 mm., UNBOUND IN 10 FASCICLES AS ISSUED, original printed blue-grey wrappers, uncut, some spine wear, fore-edge of upper wrapper of fasc. 9 slightly torn, blank margin of plate 100 slightly torn, some minor dust soiling at edges . FIRST EDITION. 2 letterpress titles, 1-leaf foreword and 100 hand-colored lithographed plates, unsigned. This flora, which celebrates the new and exotic species growing in the botanical garden at Munich, is clearly related to the publications of Martius and Pohl (see lots 103 and 109) since it contains illustrations of a number of Brazilian exotics collected by Martius and sent to Schrank.
