SCORESBY, WILLIAM. 1789-1857. Autograph Letter Signed ("Wm Scoresby"), 1 p, oblong 8vo, "Premier House, Friday 4pm," [1830s], to Richard Ford folds, paper strip pasted on verso where once mounted in album. The Arctic scientist and author of An Account of the Arctic Regions (1820) writes with arrangements for a trip to Killerton House near Exeter in Devon, seat of the Acland family. The house is not far from Bedford Chapel, where Scoresby was chaplain from 1832 to 1837 and where he conducted experiments into magnetism.
