RS.' , to lower right lightly creased where previously folded, 24 x 19.6 cm (9.5 x 7.75 ins), mount aperture, framed and glazed (33.5 x 29 cm, unexamined out of frame) 'Woody' was Sargeant Jack Wood a prisoner of war in Changi Camp 1942-45. He was a friend to Searle and collaborator in their attempts to produce a magazine for fellow Prisoners of War including one called 'The Survivors'. There are numerous references to Wood in Searle's biography by Russell Davies, published in 1990.
