Höhe: 27,5 cm. Breite: 20 cm. Tiefe: 12 cm. Manufaktur Faenza, Bottiglia a forgia di aquila, Ende 15. Jahrhundert.
Flasche in vollplastischer Form eines Adlers. Dieser spreizt leicht die Flügel und Beine, wodurch die Form an ein heraldisches Symbol erinnert. Kräftiges Relief im Federkleid. Bemalung in Rot mit Farbverläufen in Grün, Ocker und Blau. Abplatzungen am Fuß, linke Flügelschulter rückseitig erg., Kopf rest. Literatur: Eine Vase in Form einer vollplastischen Ente, vgl. Katalog, Maioliche del Museo Civico di Pesaro, Bologna, 1979, Nr. 4. (9300027) Rare maiolica bottle in the shape of an eagle Height: 27.5 cm. Width: 20 cm. Depth: 12 cm. Workshop of Faenza, Bottiglia a forgia di aquila, late 15th century. Bottle shaped as an eagle in the round. The eagle splays its wings and legs in the abstract manner of a heraldic symbol. Feathering in strong relief. Painted in red with gradients in green, ochre and blue. Chips on the foot, left wing shoulder filled in at the back, head restored.
