Why do you want to involve him in a controversy with a friend who is only too willing to let him alone? This is my first visit to Scotland. I am unquestionably a Scotchman -- Shaw of Fife. My original ancestor was Macduff: hency my taste for Shakespeare. These facts can be established by our cook here: she acknowledges me as a kinsman...The book is devilish amusing -- contains lots of things that Jackson implored me to leave out...."
