Peary', side B: 'A Description of The Dash for the South Pole spoken by Lieut. Shackleton, M.V.O. London', catalogue number 'D 377 (01035)' and 'D 377 (01028)'. The Gramophone Co., Ltd., Hayes, Middlesex, England : [circa 1910], 12in. (30.5cm.) diameter, in white cardboard sleeve. RARE recording of two famous Polar expeditions: Peary relating his 1907-09 expedition, including his claim to have reached the North Pole, and Shackleton relating his Nimrod expedition and 'Farthest South' record, less than 100 miles short of the South Pole.
