(Books & Works on Paper including Aviation & Transport, 31st July 2020) Immaculate Heart College - Sister Magdalen Mary (or Maggie, instructor) & Kent (Corita, artist) Immaculate Heart College - Sister Magdalen Mary (or Maggie, instructor) & Kent (Corita, artist) A collection of 11 ‘limited edition’ original serigraph posters created by or after Sister Corinta Kent, 5 with ink stamps on the verso of the college stating where they are from and other instructions, 7 of which are signed and or dated, most are worn at extremities, a few with small tears, each approx. 600 x 500 printed either landscape or portrait, [1964-65] ***Sister Magdalen Mary was referred to as an ‘agent’ for Corita Kent who entered the College in 1936. After a period she went on to teach within the College and eventually took a degree. She eventually became Head of the art Department. Her prime medium was silk-screen or Serigraphy. As she was not doing this for status but more to generate income most of her work is unsigned and un-numbered.
