Frontispiece portrait in dry-point by William Wilke after a bas-relief by Helen Hall Culver. Frontispiece and title page with decorative margins. 12¾x9¼, tan paper boards, vellum spine, spine lettered in gilt, t.e.g.; 7x4¼, side-sewn wrappers inside slipcase matching the larger volume (without t.e.g.); both vols. in individual compartments in a single slipcase with printed paper spine label. No. 136 of 250 hand-numbered copies privately printed for William Andrews Clark, Jr., by John Henry Nash Smaller wrappers volume is a facsimile of the T.J. Wise forgery of the first edition. Issued as a Christmas gift for William A. Clark's friends. With "Compliments of William Andrews Clark, Jr., Christmas, 1927" tipped-in paper label at front free endpaper of larger volume.
