.30-06, 24" barrel, s/n 329445. Parkerized finish, walnut stock. Pre-US entry into WWII production Garand, with the serial number placing the receiver in September of 1941 with the SA marked barrel dated 8-41. Un-cut op rod, and most internal parts with early 2-SA or 3-SA revision numbers, some internal parts still "in the white" as is correct. Early stock with weak Circle-P proof behind triggerguard, but no cartouche is visible on the stock. Throat and bore both gauge between 1.5 and 2. Equipped with Winter Trigger. Includes an American Fork & Hoe made M1 bayonet with scabbard and an OD green web sling. Condition: Fine overall. Retains most of the Parkerized finish, remains mechanically functional with a fine bore. Stock with bumps and dings and a couple of minor mars. Mechanically functional, good bore. Fine bayonet. A nice early production example of a Springfield Garand, prior to US entry into WWII. A tough gun to find these days.
