The manufacturers include Kilburn Brothers, Herbert Mitchell, L.D. & Co., Joseph Bates, E. & H. T. Anthony. etc. Very few are by the large manufacturers of stereocards such as Keystone and Underwood. Some wear to cards, overall images in attractive condition; they display well in a hand-held viewer. The cards feature both well-known sights and ones long vanished, such as the Caseno (sic), originally a ladies' refreshment lounge, demolished by Robert Moses While individually such cards are not rare, in such a number this is a collection worthy of scholarly research.
