In the rare red cloth : BAL records only copies in black and blue in this gilt, extra gilt binding, and copies in black, purple and blue cloth in te ordinary binding. Two volumes, 8vo. Title-page vignettes, 6 plates. (Some characteristic intermittent pale foxing.) Publisher’s deluxe binding of red cloth, the covers with extra gilt decoration, gilt vignettes at center within a wide gilt border, spines gilt, all edges gilt (small chip at foot of spine vol. 2, a few pale stains, gilt slightly faded).
