STREETER, EDWIN W. PRECIOUS STONES AND GEMS London: Chapman & Hall, 1879. With bookplate for: H.R.H. The Duke of Albany. K.G. Sinkankas states "A large and highly important treatise on gemstones, the second in a long series of editions, from the hand of the well-known and wealthy London Jeweler." This 2nd edition is usually bound in grayish-blue cloth, but due to ownership by H.R.H. The Duke of Albany, it was rebound in red leather with gold lettering and rules on spine. H.R.H. The Duke of Albany was the youngest son of Queen Victoria.
