An exceptional 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set two train quarter repeating musical watch Unsigned, circa 1820 Gilt-finished cylinder movement, plain three arm brass balance, repeating on two hammers, musical pin barrel, "M/S" for "Music/Silence" lever underneath the dial, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, large circular case, split pearl-set bezel, rim, pendant and bow, the reverse with brown and green enamel, polychrome champlevé floral decorated band, the reverse centred by a painted polychrome enamel scene in the manner of Richter depicting "The Reprimand", quarter repeating through the pendant, music activated by a sliding lever in the band, unsigned 60 mm. diam.
