The Public Buildings, Places of Amusement, Tradesmen's Shops, name and trade of Every Occupant. London, n.d. [ca. 1840]. Parts 1-40 (of 88?). Oblong 8 o (134 x 220 mm). 40 double page engraving of street frontages, area maps, and views of a notable buildings (trimmed closely). 20th-century half morocco, orginal wrappers bound in, edges gilt (trimmed, shaving some of the original wrappers). FIRST EDITION(?) of this invaluable mid 19th-century London street guide, showing a frontal view of the façades of building along to the streets of London's inner city, often naming the premises.
