A REMARKABLE PARCEL OF TAYLOR 1963 Recently "discovered" lying at a well-known London warehouse. This remarkable parcel of 28 dozen bottles of Taylor 1963 has lain undisturbed since 1980. Packed in Duff Gordon cartons sealed with metal staples the boxes had not been opened until inspection by Christie's staff. The Port has now been re-packed into Christie's cartons and has been labelled with Christie's slip labels stating Taylor 1963, Sold at Auction Nov 2005. All the bottles have plain corks and wax capsules. A small number of the bottles are embossed with Taylor 1963 (See photograph) but the majority have plain wax capsules Lying at Twickenham (EHD) Offered duty-paid, but available in bond Taylor--Vintage 1963 English-bottled. A good warm colour with a fully mature open rim. Heavy sediment. Good fully mature spicy, high toned bouquet. Still sweet. Lean yet with some flesh. Good flavour, pretty good length. Attractive. M.B.
