With 11 etchings in 2 states, captioned tissue guards. 22.2x15.3 cm (8¾x6"), double-ruled chocolate-brown crushed levant full morocco, spines tooled and lettered in gilt amid raised bands, filleted edges, all edges gilt, gilt-rolled dentelles, marbled endpapers. No. 74 of an unstated limited edition on Japan paper. An elegantly bound set of Boccaccio's Decameron. John Payne (1842–1916) was an English poet, translator and publisher. He was associated with the Pre-Raphaelites and the Symbolist poets of his era. Provenance: From the collection of Robin and Marsha Garces Williams.
