The Great War Trio to Captain H. R. Tyler, 4th Battalion, Essex Regiment, who was killed in action at Gallipoli 1914-15 Star Trio (Capt., Essex R.) in their named card boxes of issue, together with Bronze Memorial Plaque (Harold Robert Tyler , Illuminated Memorial Scroll (Capt., Essex Regiment) and identity disc. The lot is also sold with two photograph albums, including many photographs taken in Egypt and Gallipoli 1915-16, probably by another member of the family, and a quantity of related family documents and photographs, extremely fine (4) Footnote Captain Harold Robert Tyler was educated at Felstead and was an active member of the 4th Essex Regiment before the War. He landed at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, on 12 August, 1915, and was killed six days later on the 18th. He is commemorated by name on the special memorial at Azmak Cemetery, Suvla. A copy of the War Graves Register of Azmak and Green Hill Cemeteries with enclosure to Mrs. E. L. Tyler, 1925, accompanies the group.
