The leaf is rare and of particular interest for the image of Johannes Septimus, the female pope. Laid in is an additional original leaf: Folio CIII, featuring 3 portraits, being Nero, Claudius and Calligula. Also included are 2 scenes; one of a man being stoned, and another of a man on a horse beneath a thundercloud. This is copy no. 1 of the second of the club's many leaf books. Two copies of the original prospectus are laid in. With the small ornamental bookplate of Alfred Sutro, former President of the Book Club of California. A unique copy of this important leaf book.
